Illuminations 2015 - The celebrity who will switch on the 2015 Blackpool Illuminations is Hollywood Legend Tim Burton. Tim is the award winning film director, producer, artist, writer, and animator behind some amazing movies such as Batman, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Alice in Wonderland.
Peter Kay will be switching on the 2014 Illuminations.
Illuminasia is Blackpool's new for 2014, must-see family attraction at the wonderful Winter Gardens. The world�s largest indoor illumination experience blends traditional Chinese lantern crafts with the latest in lighting technology and boasts hundreds of incredible structures covering thousands of square feet within the Olympia Exhibition Hall. Visitors will explore six vibrant, immersive and interactive zones that will captivate the imagination of all ages.

Blackpool Illuminations 2013 - Jonathan Ross will throw the switch to Illuminate Blackpool. The headline act for the switch on concert on the Friday will be The Script with special guest Eliza Doolittle.
The Blackpool Illuminations 2011 Switch On was celebrated in style on 2 September as TV�s hottest comedian Mr Keith Lemon brought the pop party of the year to a culmination as he switched on the world famous Blackpool Illuminations. Also top names including Pixie Lott, Joe McElderry, Scouting For Girls and Olly Murs got the 15,000 strong audience in the arena, along with the additional 25,000 watching on a giant screen along the seafront and across the town, chanting, dancing and generally having a fantastic time.

2010 Switch On - One of the biggest stars in the country Robbie Williams will have the honour of pulling the famous switch and launching the 66 night light extravaganza that will shine nightly until 7th November 2010.
Opera sensation Russell Watson will return to his native Lancashire, bringing home the famous �Voice� that has performed across the world. And there�ll be teen screams as the five boys who are The Wanted visit the beach. Their debut single 'All Time Low' has already reached number 1 in the UK singles chart and an album is in the works too.
They�ll be joined by popular X-Factor runner-up Olly Murs as well as Australian popstrel Gabriella Cilmi whose first single, Sweet About Me, was the most played single of 2009. And Nell Bryden will also be bringing her unique brand of modern-Dixie to the beach.
