“Raw Potential” is the 2009 degree art show from University of Chester’s fine art and photography students. Opening at Kingsway Campus, Chester - 18 to 25 June - the show is a chance for the whole community to celebrate before it relocates to the Contemporary Urban Centre in Liverpool (3 - 10 July 2009).

Chester fine art and photography is all about the freedom to experiment, be individual and push boundaries. The Raw Potential degree show provides a public showcase for all of the creative energies and efforts over the past few years - the diverse and varied nature of Fine Art and Photography at Chester University. The show doubles as a chance for the students to integrate further with the community. The community has played a large part in raising funds and the profile of this event. So the show marks a high point in the academic year and community calendar.

The community links continue when the show moves to Liverpool. The Novas Contemporary Urban Centre has a strong reputation for community support and develops opportunities for individuals and groups. To exhibit at The Novas Contemporary Urban Centre will provide the next step for the student artists’ raw potential - to develop as emerging artists.

Both shows - Chester and Liverpool - are a great opportunity to experience and invest in the artists of tomorrow.
