River of Light Fireworks

New! This Bonfire Night the waterfront is the place to be, whether it's Liverpool or Wirral there will be a very special event to mark 5 November. It can be revealed that there will be a mid river firework display which will wow the crowds with some special added extras turning it into one of the most ambitious fireworks events in the country!
This means that this year there will be NO displays in either Sefton Park or Newsham Park as the new waterfront location will mean that the displays can cater for a larger audience with more of an impact on the local economy for both Liverpool and Wirral.
Star Fireworks, one of the most successful and experienced firework display companies in Europe and the current British Fireworks Champion of Champions, have been awarded the contract to deliver the show.
Thursday 5 November 2015:Taking place at Sefton and Newsham Parks, the free illuminations both start at 7.30pm and will be synchronised to inspiring music related to the Services. The playlist for Wednesday evening includes Crown Imperial, Hearts of Oak, The Dambusters, I Vow to Thee My Country, Rule Britannia and Land of Hope and Glory. The firework displays will last for approximately 20 minutes.
Visitors to the fireworks are advised to travel on foot or public transport. For travel information please visit merseytravel.gov.uk. There is limited accessible parking at Croxteth Gate, Sefton Park and at Gardners Drive, Newsham Park.
Sefton Park: Persons attending the Sefton Park display please use the outside perimeter of the park to arrive at the Review Field, Croxteth Drive where the display is held. Due to congestion at the caf� in the centre of the park please note some of the internal paths will be closed in the run-up to the display. Those attending the events are asked not to bring their own fireworks, sparklers or Chinese lanterns. They are also asked to wear sensible clothing and footwear and not to bring dogs to the display.
