Easter Weekend at the Laughterhouse

02 & 03 April 2010
Make sure to make the most of the April holidays and have the best time possible!

The two sister venues Slaughterhouse and the newly refurbished Slug and Lettuce have two unmissable acts booked for Easter weekend, that will surely keep you in a great mood for the weekend!

Join resident MC and local comedy legend Ste Porter Friday or Saturday night- for only £10 on Friday or £12 on Saturday you can look forward to some laid-back, dry Irish wit from Caimh McDonnell, who since his debut in 2005 at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival with his show Futureshock has established himself as one of the best acts and favourite comedy exports to come out of the emerald island, as well as a highly demanded TV writer (ITVs 2DTV, The Crust, and Channels 4 Dont worry just to name a few shows he has written!)
His talents as a professional funny man have always brought him international attention, with live shows in France, Germany, the Middle East as well as usual performances in native Ireland.
Caimh is well known for mixing laid back gentle comedy with some shocking punch lines when youre least expecting it, so be prepared fro an act full of surprises!

He will share the stage with Mick Ferry, the Oldham satyr and fine persecutor of Northern wit, famous for his lugubrious dark humour. Mick is an absolute master in turning everyones everyday ongoing into hilarious comedy material- he is been keeping the audience in stitches for a good few years going and surely he will continue to do so. He is quickly becoming one of the favourite live acts both in the UK and sometimes in more exotic countries-the perfect ambassador for British comedy!

And of course The Laughterhouse doesnt just offer the very best comedy in town at the most reasonable prices, you can enjoy some fine ales, a great selection of drinks and great food is always available before oR after the show or at MEET Restaurant if you fancy a Latin flavour- just make sure to be at show by 7.30 because show starts promt at 8.00!
