Last year�s event saw over 30 dance schools from across the North West come along to showcase their talents and what a weekend of entertainment it was. From ballet to street, every style of dance was seen and an amazing £16,000 was raised!
This year promises to be bigger and better than ever before with special guest performances and even more dance schools participating.
Lianne Castree, Head of Adagio Dance said "The Dance-a-thon is a great event, not only do the dancers get to show off their skills but they have a wonderful time performing in front of a full theatre at the amazing St George�s Hall. Plus it�s an opportunity to give something back by raising money for a great cause. We would encourage all dance groups to get involved."
The Dance-a-thon is a relay dancing event so as one group is leaving the stage the next one is waiting in the wings to go on. Each group is offered a set of between 5 � 20 minutes depending on how long they would like to perform for.
There is no charge for the groups getting involved but each dancer will be provided with a sponsor form so that they can raise sponsorship. No matter how big or small the donation every penny raised makes a difference.
